North Sea supply vessel market update

    News // November 8, 2002
Offshore Shipbrokers reports that Aberdeen port is to become much busier with BP moving some of its Peterhead operations southward. Asco will be responsible for the quay operations and logistics but not the vessel chartering.

Shell have terminated the Normand Drott contract effective December with the vessel then returning to the spot market.

Englishman, Statesman, Highland Bugler, Sable Sea, Maersk Chancellor, Lancilotto, Aldoma and Northern Comrade have all joined the spot market whilst newbuilding AHTS Pacific Worker is heading south in search of employment elsewhere.

Thanks to bad weather and some increased activity the market has been fairly firm throughout theOctober with some healthy rates having to be paid for both cargo runs and rig moving.
