    News // August 30, 2002
Subsea 7 has been awarded a contract by Vanguard SPC IOM Ltd to install an FPSO mooring and subsea system for the Woollybutt field, offshore Western Australia. This will be the first FPSO to be installed in the North West Shelf of Australia for approximately ten years.

The six month contract will require Subsea 7 to install the mooring system, flexible flowlines, risers, umbilicals and midwater arch system and hook up the FPSO to the mooring system in a water depth of approximately 100m.

Subsea 7's Multi-Purpose Support Vessel, (MPSV) The Rockwater 2, which is equipped to operate in water depths of up to 1000m, will be deployed for this contract.
