    Simek delivers De Vries Tide

    Yard News // August 16, 2002
On 28th June Simek shipyard in Norway delivered its newbuilding number 106, a platform supply vessel for Ugelstads Rederi A/S of Oslo, Norway.

The vessel is a Rolls-Royce Marine UT 755L design and has been bareboat chartered from Ugelstads Rederi to Tidewater Marine North Sea Ltd for three years, and has departed for offshore Nigeria, where she will be working.

De Vries Tide is the first UT 755L delivered from Simek.

The four steel blocks for the vessel were built at Maritim Ltd in Gdansk, Poland, and transported on barges to Flekkefjord for assembly in Simek's heated building shed. The superstructure was assembled separately and fitted out before it was lifted on after launching the hull.
