    Shipyard provides more details on Viking Energy

    Kleven Maritime group in Norway has provided more details on the Viking Energy, the world's first LNG-fuelled supply vessel, which was delivered to owners Eidesvik AS and Møkster Shipping AS recently, Vik-Sandvik AS being responsible for the design of the vessel.

    By using LNG as an alternative to marine diesel, the result will be an 85% reduction in NOX emissions.

    Kleven says the vessel is 94.90m overall, with a length between perpendiculars of 81.60m, breadth of 20.0m and cargo deck area of 1,030m2.
