Spot market likely to remain at a low ebb

Contracts, Tenders and Rates // June 20, 2003
As predicted, brokers report that rig move activity in the North Sea saw varying levels during May, which caused rates to fluctuate dramatically.

The highest activity levels were witnessed towards the end of the month, which caused rates to rise above the 30,000 level for a period of time.

Activity levels for June are expected to be lower than those in May so weaker conditions are expected.
