    Stolt Offshore takes delivery of Seaway Petrel

    Usknoy AS in Norway has taken delivery of the Seaway Petrel, a multi-purpose inspection, survey and ROV light intervention support ship built in Norway and delivered with the class notation DNV +1A1-SF-ICE C-EO-DYNPOS II AUTR-HELDK SH-COMF.

    The ship has assumed a long term charter with Stolt Offshore, and has a fully dynamic positioning system and is equipped to support all major aspects of marine survey /ROV light intervention work.

    Seaway Petrel is an extremely capable support vessel for pipeline inspection,ROV survey and ROV light intervention activities.

    The hull design and installation fitment has been undertaken to minimize acoustic emissions through the hull, including the use of all electric thrusterdrives. Hull design has been optimized to achieve high transit speed.
