BP gets go ahead to develop Rhum fieldNews // June 6, 2003
BP has secured approval to develop the Rhum gas field in North Sea Block 3/29.

The cost of the development effort is expected to be around $600 million.

The field is located in 350ft of water about 28 miles from BP's Bruce platform.

Rhum will be tied-back to the Bruce field with gas exported from Bruce via the Frigg pipeline system.

Development drilling is expected to get underway later this year.
