    Hull of Acta Marine's newbuild reaches halfway point

    Acta Marine says construction of the hull of itys Ulstein SX195 walk-to-work vessel has passed the halfway mark at Crist shipyard in Poland. The company said work is progressing well and on schedule.

    Construction of the hull started in February 2017. The completed hull is due to be towed from Crist to Ulstein Verft in Ulsteinvik, Norway early in November 2017.

    Ulstein Verft will complete the outfitting of the vessel and the installation of equipment from SMST, including a motion-compensated gangway and 3D crane.

    Delivery of the vessel to Acta Marine is slated for the end of the first quarter of 2018.
