    Five Oceaneering ROVs support Heerema

    Vessel & ROV News // April 11, 2003
Augmenting the company's ROV systems already onboard the deepwater construction vessel Balder and the dedicated crane vessel Hermod, Oceaneering International is providing three additional 100hp Hydra (r) Magnum ROV systems to Heerema Marine Contractors.

Contracted for 2003 construction support projects performed from the two vessels in the Gulf of Mexico, the supplementary OII ROVs will work in depths to 3,000ft of sea water assisting with J-lay operations and the installation of a tension leg platform(TLP).

One of the ROV systems, Magnum 44, is operations ready and can be transferred from vessel to vessel in a single load. Minimal installation time is required and the system can begin work immediately after welding in place.
