BUE Viking becomes Viking Offshore Services Limited

    News // June 10, 2005
The largest operator of dedicated safety standby vessels in the North Sea is formally undergoing a name change on June 1st.

Aberdeen-based BUE Viking is becoming known as Viking Offshore Services Limited, reflecting a shareholding change in the business last year.

An extensive re-branding exercise is being undertaken by the company, which has 37 vessels.

The new name comes in the wake of the acquisition by Viking Supply Ships of BUE Marine's 50 per cent shareholding in BUE Viking last year.
