EMGS cuts staff in effort to reduce costsCompany News // October 14, 2016
Electromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS) is to lay off full time staff and makes cuts to temporary staff in an effort to reduce its cost base by approximately 20 per cent.
"The market is expected to continue to be subdued until the oil price recovers and customers increase their E&P budgets. Cost reductions and cost control will therefore continue to be important focus areas. However, we will
maintain a footprint in our core markets to be able to efficiently market our services and be ready when the market turns," said Christiaan Vermeijden, CEO of EMGS.
