    Huisman unveils Singapore crane simulator

    Training // May 27, 2016

Huisman has introduced a 400 tonne offshore mast crane simulator at the company’s sales and service facility in Singapore.

The simulator will be used for regular and customized education and training purposes for the company's offshore mast cranes and other cranes.

The simulator combines all of the main options available in the Huisman crane range, such as a main and auxiliary hoist, tuggers and a heave compensation system. Operations are simulated by the use of nine screens and an operator chair with crane controls in order to create a realistic operating experience.

The new simulator is the third simulator available for clients operating Huisman equipment. The other simulators - a 400 tonne offshore mast crane and a dual multipurpose drill tower unit - are available at the Huisman Academy in The Netherlands. A fourth simulator, which will be a copy of the one in Singapore is currently under construction at Huisman North America Services.
