    Maritime Partner to build rescue boat for UT527

    Havila's latest newbuilding at Havyard shipyard will be equipped with rescue craft and workboat from Maritime Partner, said the company in a recent statement. The new contract is to supply two rescue craft and a tug/workboat for Havila's latest newbuilding.

    The new vessel will be chartered by Norsk Hydro for a 10-year contract for multi-field stand-by duties in the Troll-Oseberg area. The vessel is a new Rolls-Royce UT 527 design incorporating new features for this type of vessel.

    The order includes two MP-1000WJ FRDC, one MP-800 fast rescue craft and one Weedo 710 tug. The Weedo 710is a 7m tugboat developed for towing and manoeuvring oil containment booms in bad weather.
