Nautical Institute establishes Singapore branchOrganisations and Associations // April 15, 2016
The Nautical Institute (Singapore) has been established as a branch of The Nautical Institute, the international professional organisation for maritime professionals. It will hold its inaugural meeting in the Republic during Maritime Week. The new branch has recently been registered with the Singapore Registry of Societies and aims to attract maritime professionals from Singapore’s widely based maritime sector.
A preliminary meeting was held in February this year at which 44 members of The Nautical Institute met to review the Constitution, as approved by the Registry of Societies, Singapore. The members also elected the office bearers and committee members.
The inaugural meeting will be held 18 April 2016 at the Singapore Shipping Association and officially launched by The Nautical Institute President, Captain Robert McCabe FNI. Captain McCabe will visit various Singapore Maritime Week events, including the Offshore Vessel and Rig Connect Conference.
