    OSL provides update on recent newbuilding activity

    Offshore Shipbrokers Ltd (OSL) reports the following recent orders for newbuilds:

    Rem Offshore has ordered MT6016 PSV from Kleven Verft for delivery May 2006.

    Eidesvik has ordered two hulls from Severnaya Shipyard, Russia with the first scheduled for delivery in December and the second March 2006. No decision has been made on the fitting out.

    On behalf of Nomis Shipping, OSL has placed an order at Jaya Shipbuilding Singapore for one plus an AHTS of 5500 BHP with FiFi and DP. The vessel will be delivered in March 2006.

    Island Offshore has placed an order with Aker Yards for two AHTS of the new UT787 design to bebuilt at Aker Langsten at a cost of NKr 800 million. The second vessel is subject to a cancellationclause. The vessels will be 85m LOA with a 235 tonnes bollard pull and accommodation for50. Delivery is scheduled for December 2006 and May 2007.

    Gulf Offshore has purchased a small AHTS currently under construction from Jaya ShipbuildingChina for delivery later this year. The vessel is 5,150bhp with a 60 tonnes bollard pull and is costing close to US$10 million. Gulf also has an option on a second sister vessel for delivery early2006.

    Lukoil has ordered an AHTS from Keppel Singmarine Singapore for delivery late 2006.

    Seabulk has declared four options for AHTS of 7,000 BHP at Labroy Shipyard Indonesia. Vesselsare to be delivered in 2007.

    Siem Offshore has placed a further order with Aker Yards to build four PSVs at Aker Brattvaag of the VS470 MK11 design at a cost of about NKr 122.5 million each. Deliveries start in 2006.
