Jan de Nul starts trenching for Langeled gas trunkline

Work on excavating a trench up to the landfall for the Langeled gas trunkline is well under way across the seabed off Easington in eastern England, reports Statoil.

The dredger JFJ de Nul is excavating the trench, and started work on May 12th about a kilometre from the shore.

"The final section of the trench to the cofferdam established 240m into the shoreline zone has already been excavated," reported Langeled project director Leif Solberg.
