    Innovative ro-ro/PSV Mokster/Eidesvik JV

    Vessel & ROV News // February 14, 2003
The naming ceremony for the ro-ro/PSV Stril Myster" took place at the harbour in Molde, Norway in January.

The vessel was built by Aker Aukra AS for Supplyinvest KS, a company jointly owned by Eidesvik Shipping AS, Simon Møkster Rederi AS and Aker Holding AS.

The vessel represents a new generation of efficient and environmentally friendly PSVs, and is fitted with diesel electric propulsion, giving a maximum speed of 18-19 knots.

Perhaps the most interesting feature of the vessel is that it has flexible bulk cargo systems, including ro-ro self-loading, and dynamic position system.

Stril Myster has been chartered for one year by the Danish company Dong E/P and will be operating on the Danish North Sea sector.
