    A new conference, FIRE ON SHIPS: Prevention, Detection & Control on Ships & Offshore Structures, will take place 11-12 March 2003 at the Inmarsat Conference Centre, London.

    The conference will address prevention, detection and control of fire on ships and offshore structures.

    More than 18 senior executives, experts and opinion formers from a variety of companies which have crucial knowledge on the development of issues concerning fire on ships and offshore structures will participate.

    Speakers will debate, analyse and review a range of topics including: fire safety training and re-training; the need for realistic shipboard fire-fighting drills; fire safety engineering and ship design; the demands on the Ship's Master; scientific investigations of ship fires; and the fire service response to ship fires at sea.
