    Anchor handler delivered by Aker Brattvaag

    Søviknes Verft AS, part of the Aker Brattvaag Group, delivered a newbuild UT 722 L anchor handler to Gulf Offshore NS Ltd, Aberdeen, on 12 December. The christening ceremony for the ship took place in Ålesund, Norway, on 14 December.

    The UT 722 L design, originally developed by Rolls-Royce, has an overall length of 80m, accommodation for 32, a deadweight of 2,750 tons and main engines of approx 16,000hp.

    In addition, the vessel is equipped with a towing-/anchor-handling winch of 500 tons and the vessel has a bollard pull of 180 tons.
