New Gardline vessel starts sea trialsVessel & ROV News // January 26, 2016
Gardline has announced that its new vessel has started sea trials. The latest addition to its fleet, the 23m Bittern, was designed by Global Marine Design, with a 'Z-Bow' hillform, and has a 20m2 foredeck with a carrying capacity of 5 tonnes.
Once sea trials are complete, Bittern will be delivered to Ramsgate to begin operational trials with London Array, prior to heading back to Great Yarmouth to begin work on its first contract.
Phil Durrant, Managing Director of Gardline Environmental Limited, said: “We are very excited to see Bittern in action and a new capability added to our existing fleet; feedback from clients during the build phase has been universally positive meaning that the vessel will go on to contract shortly after she is launched.”
