    Aukra delivers supply vessel for Great Eastern

    Aker Aukra AS in Norway has delivered a PSV to the Indian company Great Eastern Shipping.

    The ship, which is new build number 113 at the yard, had a contract value of approximately NOK 120 million.

    The ship is of the type UT 755 L, designed by Rolls Royce Marine AS. The vessel has a length of 72m, breadth of 16m and a deadweight of 3,350 tonnes. Maximum speed is 14.5 knots.

    The contract was signed in July 2003. Hull construction was undertaken at Aker Tulcea, which allowed Aker Aukra to start on the outfitting work in August last year.

    The ship, Malaviya Nineteen, is the fourth ship of this design built at Aker Aukra during the last couple of years.
