GulfMark lays up Highland Endurance but PSV market tighter

    News // November 26, 2015

Broker Westshore says activity levels continue to be low in the North Sea, causing more vessels to be laid up, including GulfMark's Highland Endurance.

"A handful of recent fixtures have come in at over £10,000," said the broker of the market for anchor handlers. "The Aberdeen market is tighter than in Norway with no AHTS requirements outstanding currently. "

Westshore said that for the first time in month's Aberdeen has approached sold out for PSVs, and rates have enjoyed a boost as a result. "It has also now been two weeks since a vessel trading the spot has left to go into layup," the broker said.
