New president and CEO at OMSAOrganisations and Associations // November 9, 2015
The Offshore Marine Services Association (OMSA) has appointed Aaron Smith as President and Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Smith’s appointment follows the resignation of Ben Billings, who has led OMSA since 2013. Ben Bordelon, the Chairman of OMSA’s Board of Directors, said: "We are sorry to see Ben go as he has served our organization and members energetically. We are excited that Aaron Smith has joined us as our new President and Chief Executive Officer.”
Mr Smith has held a variety of positions in government and public affairs. He was instrumental in the development of OSVDPA, a dynamic positioning certification authority for the OSV industry. Prior to that he served in Washington DC as Deputy Chief of Staff to Congressman Jeff Landry and in various other roles.
