    Activity levels in Mediterranean/North Africa picking up

    Fearnleys Offshore Supply says activity levels in the Mediterranean are finally starting to improve.

    Fearnleys said British Gas Tunisia has contracted the AHTS Normand Jarl (12,000 bhp) and AHTS Normand Drott (12,000bhp) for a one well drilling programme starting November.

    Saipem Libya has chartered Highland Warrior (3,890dwt) for what is believed to be pipe haul duties.

    CPTL Libya are evaluating bids for 2 x PSVs and 1 x AHT, with start up end of year.

    In Egypt PMS and Burullus are evaluating bids for potentially three large AHTS for a multi-well programme commencing this side of the new year, said Fearnleys.utilisation rate close to 90 per cent.
