    Chinese yard to build Skipsteknisk DSV design for Jumeirah

    Huangpu Wenchong Shipyard will built the ST-246 DSV.

    Skipsteknisk in Norway has confirmed that Singapore-based company Jumeirah Offshore Pte Ltd has awarded ST a contract to design a new Dive Support Vessel (DSV).

    The vessel will be outfitted for 120 people and is a new DP3 design, designated ST-246 DSV. It will have an overall length of 124m and will be fitted with a 24 men SAT dive system and a 250 tonne subsea crane.

    This is the seventh offshore vessel ST has designed for Asian clients since establishing office in Shanghai in June 2010.

    Jumeirah has contracted Huangpu Wenchong Shipyard to build the vessel, which will be delivered in 2017.
