    Kumar steps down at Ezra to concentrate on role at Emas Offshore

    Ezra Holdings Limited has announced that Captain Adarash Kumar has stepped down from the board of the company as an Executive Director, and the cessation of his position as Group Chief Operating Officer, with effect from 25 September 2015.

    The changes will allow him to concentrate on his role as Executive Director on the Board of EMAS Offshore as well as his new appointment as EMAS Offshore’s Chief Executive Officer. EMAS Offshore is Ezra’s subsidiary company.

    In addition, the move is also part of the Ezra Board’s ongoing commitment to strengthen corporate governance, as it restructures to consist of a majority of non-executive and independent directors.

    “Captain Kumar has provided stoic leadership in his capacity as the Group's Chief Operating Officer, especially in the areas of the Group’s Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality (HSSEQ), enterprise risk, and administrative departments,” said Mr Koh Poh Tiong, Chairman of the Ezra Board.

    “He has more than 25 years of experience in the offshore industry. As the Group grapples with the current challenges facing the offshore oil and gas industry, this will be crucial for our subsidiary company, EMAS Offshore Limited, as they focus on implementing their twin strategy of maintaining leadership in Asia and penetrating the new market of West Africa.
