Primorsk sells share in Polar PevekVessel & ROV News // May 26, 2015
Primorsk Shipping Corp (Prisco) has sold its 50 per cent share in Polar Pevek to the investment fund Maas Capital Offshore, The Netherlands (which is owned by ABN Ambrobank.)
As Fearnley Offshore Supply reported, the 50/50 joint venture between G C Rieber and Prisco was formed in 2006 in connection with the ordering of Polar Pevek, which was delivered by Aker Yards, Langsten in 2006. The icebreaking vessel has Ice 10 class and 13,600 bhp.
On delivery, the vessel commenced a 15 year charter with Exxon Neftegas Ltd. operating off the De-Kastri oil terminal assisting tankers transporting oil from Sakhalin I in Eastern Russia.
