The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has confirmed that a former director of Tanjung Offshore has been detained to assist in investigations into the purchase of Gas Generators (M) Sdn Bhd.
“MACC will obtain a remand order tomorrow,” an MACC spokesperson told Bernama.
Tanjung Offshore has been in the news lately due to a boardroom tussle that led to the suspension of three company officials earlier this year.
Tanjung Offshore is principally involved in provision of engineering equipment, equipment maintenance services, drilling and production platform services to the oil and gas industry via its subsidiaries.
