    News // May 20, 2015

The BBC reports that more than 80 crew members were taken off an offshore support vessel which caught fire in Peterhead harbour in the early hours of the morning of 20 May.

The BBC said about 35 firefighters tackled the blaze aboard the Fugro Symphony. No-one was injured.

The BBC said that although the exact cause of the blaze aboard the vessel, moored at Merchant's Quay, is not yet known, it is believed to have started in an electrical switch room.

A total of 84 crew and other personnel were taken ashore.
