    Huisman opens facility in Brazil

    Company News // April 24, 2015

Huisman, the lifting, drilling and subsea solutions specialist, has opened a production facility in Navegantes, Santa Catarina state, in the south of Brazil.

The facility will be used to manufacture offshore equipment for the Brazilian market. It is located along the Itajai-Ašu river, enabling fast installation of Huisman equipment on seagoing vessels.

The new production facility was officially opened by Cristina Pinho, Executive Manager E&P Services at Petrobras.

The pproduction facility has already been awarded contracts for the delivery of six 65 tonne lattice boom cranes and four 65 tonne knuckleboom cranes for Sete Brasil and cranes and pipe storage baskets for two 340 tonne tiltable pipelay systems for Technip-DOF. A contract for four anchor handling and towing winch packages was signed with Grupo CBO earlier this year.
