    Viking Neptun delivered and ready for Technip charter

    Viking Neptun was delivered by Kleven Verft to Eidesvik in February with a naming ceremony held in Stavanger on 28 February.

    Viking Neptun will now start operating on a charter for Technip in the North Sea.

    The offshore construction vessel is the largest in Eidesvik’s fleet, and the largest ever built by Kleven Verft. Designed by Salt Ship Design, the vessel is 145m long with a breadth of 31m and accommodation for 150 persons.

    With a total of nine propulsors, two main propellers from Wärtsila (driven by a twin-in and single-out gearbox) and seven Brunvoll thrusters the vessel has eight engines from Wärtsilä and a maximum speed  of 17.2 knots.

    With ICE 1B class, the vessel is prepared for operations in the Arctic, has a helideck and 2,600m2 deck area with flexible layout for a wide range of operations.
