VLS and cranes installed on Ceona Amazon

    Vessel & ROV News // February 6, 2015

SURF contractor Ceona has completed the installation of 570 tonne multiple pipelay VLS and twin 400 tonne cranes on its deepwater field development vessel Ceona Amazon.

One month after the vesselís arrival at Huisman yard in the Netherlands, Ceona Amazon has been equipped with an inclined multi-lay VLS with a top tension of 570 tonnes and with two 400 tonne active heave-compensated masthead cranes that are able to work in tandem.

In the next few weeks Huisman will complete the electrical and hydraulic hookup, and perform the commissioning of the system.
