C-MAR secures Bourbon DP assurance dealTraining // November 4, 2014
C-MAR has secured a contract with Bourbon Offshore. The three-year agreement, will commence in January 2015 and see C-MAR supply dynamic positioning (DP) assurance services to the company.
The contract win comes in response to the increasing requirement by oil majors for third-party vetting of fleet owners’ DP assurance to enhance the resilience of support vessel operations.
C-MAR said the decision by Bourbon Offshore to appoint an independent auditor for its entire DP fleet "will generate real consistency in the DP performance of the company’s vessels while also ensuring that they adhere to the highest industry standards."
Peter Aylott, Chief Operating Officer of C-MAR Group, said: “This is a significant achievement for C-MAR and is the second global fleet contract award that we have secured in as many years."
C-MAR’s London-based Dynamic Positioning Centre will provide standardised Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), DP audits and more bespoke DP services as well as training support.
