    Brattvaag wins contracts for quintet of offshore vessels

    Norwegian yard Aker Brattvaag has won contracts for five offshore newbuildings worth a total of NOK 750m (US$105.4m).

    Ina recent statement, the yard said it had been awarded a contract to build a UT 755L PSV for Great Eastern Shipping in India. The vessel is due for delivery in July 2004.

    The shipyard also said it had been awarded contracts for two AHTS, for an unspecified company, and would deliver the ships in December 2004 and February 2005.

    The yard's Brazilian subsidiary Aker Promar has won a contract from Astromaritima Navegacao for a UT 722L AHTS, which is due to be delivered in June 2005, and Aker Promar has also been contracted to build a UT 755L Seabulk Offshore do Brasil, the delivery date being late 2004.
