ULSTEIN X-BOW to feature on Norwegian bank noteNews // October 30, 2014
ULSTEIN group in Norway says its innovative X-BOW hullform design has been selected as an illustration on a Norwegian bank note.
The company said eight artists were invited to participate in a contest to design artwork for a new banknote as part of a contest arranged by the Bank of Norway. The topic was 'The Ocean'.
Three of the artists were inspired by the X-BOW, and the winner, The Metric System/Terje Tønnesen, will use the X-BOW hull profile on their 100 Kroner note.
The X-BOW® hull line design is one of ULSTEIN's main contributions to marine history. The bow concept X-BOW® was launched in 2005.
