    GSP acquires three PSVs

    GSP in Romania is to acquires ordered a trio of MMC 887 PSVs. The PSVs will have DPS-2 positioning system and will be built under ABS supervision, having class notation firefighting class 1 (ABS +A1 (E) Offshore Support Vessel, UWILD, Fi Fi Class 1 + AMS + DPS-2).

    The new vessels will be 87.02m in length with a breadth of 18.80m and will have a deadweight of 5,000 tonnes and a deck area of 1000m2 plus accommodation for 52.

    The new vessels will be named GSP Altair, GSP Centaurus and GSP Pegasus. GSP Pegasus will be equipped with a DNV class knuckleboom electrohydraulic crane manufactured by TTS rated at 100 tonnes. The crane will have active heave compensation.

    The PSVs were built at Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding, in south eastern China and are being acquired from MAC Offshore.
