    Kleven secures first contract from Southeast Asia

    Kleven in Norway has signed a contract with a joint venture company in Malaysia,  IES Pioneer Ltd.

    The contract is for construction of a MT 6015 MPSV design, designed by Norwegian design company MarinTeknikk, which will be outfitted with a crane, helideck and FiFi II. Delivery will be September 2015.

    "We are very pleased to announce our very first vessel construction contract with a client from Southeast Asia," said Kleven's CEO Ståle Rasmussen.

    The vessel has  a length of 93.8m, beam of 20.0ms, working deck of more than 1,000m2 and will have a 150 tonne active heave-compensated offshore crane along with accommodation for 60 persons, a CAP 437 compliant helideck, fire-fighting capabilities as well as provisions for ROV operations.

    The contract also includes an option for a second vessel to be constructed and delivered in 2016.
