    Thoma-Sea launches newbuild for GulfMark

    Thoma-Sea Shipbuilders recently launched Regulus, a DP 2, FiFi I offshore supply vessel from its Houma shipyard.

    The 272ft OSV was built to service deep water oil and gas exploration. The vessel has two 2,000kW Z-drives and two 850kW bow thrusters and total installed power of 7.35MW.

    The vessel can carry a maximum deadweight of 3,650 long tonnes and can achieve a maximum speed of 14 knots. The owner of the vessel is GulfMark Offshore. A sister ship to Regulus, Polaris, was recently delivered to GulfMark.
