CMM takes delivery of its first Damen PSV 3300

    Vessel & ROV News // April 25, 2014

CMM recently took delivery of a Damen PSV 3300. The 80m, 3,300 tonnes deadweight vessel, CMM Gravity, will be deployed in Brazilian waters from June 2014 on a 4 + 4 year contract with Petrobras.

For CMM (Compagnie Maritime Monégasque) the vessel is a further step in its ambitious plans to expand in the offshore space and expand its offering by developing its capabilities as an OSV operator.

CMM Gravity was the yard’s seventh example of the new, mid-size PSV 3300 design.

The vessel will comply with Petrobras' specifications, including Petrobras Annex V.

It has a deck area of 728m² with a 1,500-tonne deck load capacity and tank capacities to handle different types of fluids and bulk.

The vessel also has dynamic positioning to DP2 standard and will have a service speed of 14 knots.

The innovative new vessel has a "bulb-less axe bow" developed by Damen.
