Multi Maritime in Norway has unveiled its latest multi-purpose offshore design, the MM 95 MSV.
The design is continuation of earlier vessels such as the MM66 MSV, Atlantis Dweller, MM76 MSV Stril Explorer, and the MM 85 MSV newbuilds at Simek shipyard (newbuildings 127_. The company also has a MM78 WSV concept for offshore wind.
Having a length of 95m and speed of 15 knots the vessel has accommodation for 90, and open deck area of 750m2, sheltered deck area of 500m2, a 100 tonnes AHC main crane, two hangars for working ROV or dive spreads, can accept a Sikorsky S-92 helicopter deck, and is dynamically positioned to DP2. An active motion-compensated gangway is an option.
The company says the new design is commercially and technically competitive and an "ideal offshore tool" for IMR, ROV services, dive support, survey services, subsea crane operations and RFO service.
