    Salt Ship Design confirms order for well intervention vessel

    Salt Ship Design in Norway has confirmed that Siem Offshore has placed an order for two SALT 307 Well Intervention Vessels at Flensburger Shipyard in Germany.

    The SALT 307 vessels will be owned by Siem Offshore and chartered by US-based Helix Energy Solutions. The first vessel is expected to be in service with Petrobras in mid-2016.

    The 158m vessels have a beam of 31m and are equipped with Helix topside equipment. The vessels are compliant with MODU class and Well Intervention Unit 2 notation.
