    Jasa Merin sells another vessel

    Silk Holdings Bhd has confirmed that its subsidiary, Jasa Merin (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, has entered into a Memorandum of Agreement to dispose a vessel for a total consideration of US$7.925 million.

    The vessel, JM Damai, is a 5,444 bhp anchor handling vessel built in 2006 and is a Malaysian flagged unit with Port Klang as port of registry.

    The price was arrived at on a willing-buyer willing-seller basis. The sales proceed will be partially utilized to fully retire the remaining loan on the vessel with the balance retained for working capital purposes. The completion of the deal is expected by end of March 2014.
