    New design contracts for Focal Marine & Offshore

    Focal Marine & Offshore has been awarded two design contracts.

    The first is from a regular Middle East client for DP2 ROV/dive support vessel of Focal 532 design. The vessel with have a length overall  of 90m, diesel-electric propulsion, an active heave-compensated crane of 100 tonnes safe working load, and accommodation for 166 people. The vessel will have a working deck with an area of 1,400m2 and auxiliary crane for ROV/diving operations.

    The second vessel is a Focal 531 emergency rescue response vessel (ERRV) design for Sentinel Marine which will be built at Nam Cheong shipyard in Malaysia. The 62m vessel will have rescue equipment to UKOOA requirements for the North Sea and will be designed to ABS crew habitability notation, HAB (WB), and ENVIRO notation.

    Both designs comply with latest regulations, including SPS 2008 and MLC 2006.
