Remontowa confirms deal to build PSVs for Siem OffshoreYard News // January 3, 2014
Remontowa Shipbuilding, part of Remontowa Holding, has confirmed that it has signed a contract to build four PSVs for Siem Offshore. The yard thus has an orderbook to the end of 2015.
The dual-fuel PSVs will be able to burn marine diesel oil or LNG and will be DP2 units with firefighting to FiFi 2 standard, oil receovery equipment and will be able to conduct rescue operations for up to 300 persons.
The Clean Design vessels will be 89m long with a deck area of 970m2 and deadweight of 5,500 tonnes.
Delivery of the vessels will start in the third quarter of 2015 and be completed in the second quarter of 2016.
