L&T Shipbuilding wins Halul Offshore contractsYard News // December 12, 2013
L&T Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro, has secured contracts valued at US$154 million for four PSVs and two anchor handling/safety standby vessels (AHTSSVs). The orders are from Halul Offshore Services in Qatar. The AHTSSVs will have a bollard pull of 150 tonnes.
The PSVs are designed for carriage of hazardous cargo such as methanol. They will have dynamic positioning (DP2) and will be suitable for firefighting, emergency response, rescue and standby, offshore supply, oil recovery and related duties. They will have diesel-electric. The AHTSSVs will have diesel-hybrid propulsion.
The PSVs are to be delivered in the first quarter of 2015 and AHTSSVs in the last quarter of 2015.
