    FSOSC adds crane competency to its portfolio

    Farstad Shipping's Offshore Simulation Centre (FSOSC) has recently added training and assessment of offshore crane operators to its range of services. The services have been designed to cover all offshore crane operators, from construction vessels, and FPSOs to installations and drilling rigs.

    "The training and assessment services we offer meet Australian national and international offshore crane operator competency requirements," said the company.

    "Due to high demand from industry, FSOSC now offers internationally recognised assessment services. The Offshore Crane Operator Stage 3 Assessment and Offshore Crane Operator Stage 3 Reassessment are undertaken to the international standards and mapped to the requirements of BS7121 Part 11.

    "We are very pleased to be able to offer these services in Australia and the South East Asian region," said the company. "As an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO), we provide Nationally Recognised Training meeting the industry requirements of PMA08 Training Package and deliver the Offshore Crane Driver Skill Set. The skills delivered through this training are recognised within Australia."
