EBDG collaborates with Gulf Island Marine Fabricators for new design

    Vessel & ROV News // October 23, 2013

Elliott Bay Design Group's (EBDG) New Orleans office says it has collaborated with Gulf Island Marine Fabricators LLC on the design and production engineering for a new class of offshore support vessel, the EB-210CC."

"The scope of the design project included detail design, structural, mechanical, piping and outfitting design as well as 3-D assembly drawings of the vessel structure utilizing ShipConstructor software. In addition, EBDG is the primary point of contact for all regulatory body requests for information," said EBDG.

The EB-210CC features what the company describes as "a unique tank farm" specific to the vessel's mission, "which is confidential."

"This is not a regular OSV design," explained EBDG Gulf General Manager, Keith Keller.

Unfortunately, EBDG did not say when or if the design is being built or who had ordered the design.
