    OSD and POET expand co-operation on new vessels

    Offshore Ship Designers (OSD) says it is working  with Pacific  Offshore Engineering & Trading Pte Ltd (POET) in Singapore on the construction of a number of new vessels, while collaborating on the development of other new designs for hybrid and gas-powered tugs.

    Two IMT949, 105-tonne bollard pull azimuth stern drive anchor handling/offshore support  vessels are due to be delivered this year, to follow two ĎAzisterní 24m 60-tonne bollard pull tugs which were delivered in 2012. Two more 24 m Azistern tugs (Azistern2465) will be delivered in 2014.

    Also due for delivery in 2013 are two Azistern 33m 60-tonne bollard pull vessels, while a new contract for two more such vessels has also been signed.

    The orders are in addition to two OSD945, 80-tonne bollard pull ASD offshore utility vessels. Also in association with POET, OSD is working on an 80-tonne bollard pull hybrid tug, and a 60-ton bollard pull LNG-powered tug.
