Rodi Marine Services goes to Swiftships for two FSVs

    Yard News // September 26, 2013

Rodi Marine Services recently signed a contract with Swiftships Shipbuilders to build two 175ft Fast Supply Vessels (FSVs) in support of its continued expansion into the oil and gas industry. The two new FSVs will add to Rodi’s existing fleet, providing expanded capabilities in deepwater operations. The two vessels are scheduled to be ready for operation in early to mid 2014.

Swiftships’ 175ft FSV DP2 crew and supply vessel is an all-welded aluminum vessel built in accordance with ABS regulations. This vessel is designed to transport personnel and supplies to offshore facilities. Its lightweight aluminum superstructure coupled with Swiftships’ proprietary design allows for high-speed performance and delivery capabilities.

Established in 2006, Rodi Marine is a Louisiana-based company which owns and operates five FSVs ranging from 135ft to 165ft. Rodi’s main office is located Lafayette, Louisiana.
