    Focal Marine-designed PSV delivered

    Jaya Valour, a Focal Marine & Offshore 507 design large PSV with 5,500 tonne deadweight was delivered to owner Jaya Holdings Limited in July. The deepwater PSV went straight into a long term charter contract immediately after delivery.

    The Focal 507 PSV has a length overall of 83.6m, 1,000m2 deck cargo area, complement of 60 and is equipped for carriage of multiple cargoes including fuel oil, base oil, fresh water, mud/brine and dry bulks. The vessel also has FIFI-1 capability, and the design complies with latest regulations including SPS 2008 and MLC 2006.

    Five similar vessels are under construction, including two lengthened version of 86m LOA with diesel-electric propulsion.

    In the last few years Focal Marine & Offshore has developed a complete series of PSV designs of 64m/2,000 tonnes, 70m/3,000 tonnes, 77m/3,600 tonnes, 78m/4,000 tonnes, 83.6m/5,500 tonnes and 90m/6,000 tonnes deadweight, and more than 30 deliveries are being operated worldwide for various oil companies.
